Job summary

Kessler Hotels in Savannah is seeking a Restaurant Server to deliver attentive, courteous service in a high-volume environment. You will take guest orders, relay them to kitchen and bar, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining upholding standards of presentation and hospitality.

You will work with a team across dining outlets, learn menus and daily specials, handle cashing duties, and upsell offerings to enhance guest experiences.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel experience preferred.
• Flexible with long hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb occasionally.
• Ability to stand for entire shift.
• Capable of carrying full trays throughout dining area.
• Clear verbal and written communication with guests and staff.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Maintain a friendly, attentive, service-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and coworkers.
• Know the organization of the Restaurant(s), lounges, and Room Service and the function of each job position.
• Have thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in applicable outlets.
• Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.
• Bus tables and remove soiled dishes after each course.
• Be familiar with the operation of the POS system and cashiering functions.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and side-work per schedule.
• Keep tables and service areas stocked, tidy and clean.
• Consistently upsell food, beverage and promotional items to guests.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
