Job summary

Kessler Hotels in Savannah, GA, is seeking a Restaurant Server to deliver high-quality food and beverage service in a fast-paced hotel setting. You will take orders, serve guests, handle payments, and maintain a warm, attentive presence throughout shifts.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent (hotel experience preferred), the ability to stand for long periods, and the flexibility for long hours. Training and growth opportunities are available within the hotel group.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work-exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must maneuver through dining area while carrying full trays of food & beverages.
• Effective verbal and written communication with all levels of staff and guests.
• Active listening and ability to clarify guest/employee concerns.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Maintain a friendly and service-oriented demeanor at all times.
• Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain regular attendance per hotel standards.
• Maintain neat appearance and proper uniform.
• Compliance with hotel standards for safe and efficient operations.
• Identify and solve problems and contribute to productivity.
• Able to understand complex information from various sources.
• Cross-train in other hotel areas and maintain confidentiality.
• Show initiative and anticipate guest or operational needs.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
• Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide highest quality service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.
• Receive and deliver guests orders and collect payment.
• Upsell food, beverage and promotional items to guests.
• Be familiar with menus, outlets, and the P.O.S. system.
• Assist in opening and closing procedures and station rotation.
• Keep tables and stands stocked, tidy and clean.
• Ensure beverages are consistently replenished.
• Maintain guest satisfaction throughout service.
