Job summary

Melrosehoteldc's Rise Uptown Hotel in Phoenix seeks a Maintenance Engineer to respond to service calls, diagnose defects, and carry out repairs, alterations and installations on-site. This role requires HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building systems expertise, plus the ability to read blueprints and work with other departments.

Qualifications

HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building construction experience.
Strong reading of blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical parts breakdown.
Experience in hotel maintenance or similar facilities preferred.
State certification or licensure where required.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Respond to service calls within 30 minutes of call receipt.
Diagnose defects and troubleshoot malfunctions; execute corrective actions.
Perform repair, maintenance, alteration and installation work following department procedures.
Comply with applicable codes, laws and requirements.
Coordinate with electricians, carpenters, painters and night engineers to complete tasks.
