Job summary

The Peacock Inn, a boutique hotel in downtown Princeton, NJ, seeks an experienced Front Desk Lead/Supervisor to oversee front desk operations and mentor the guest services team. This hands-on role thrives in a fast-paced setting and focuses on guest relations and coaching.

You will manage reservations, billing, and staff schedules while ensuring service excellence and adherence to hotel policies. Training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to train the right candidate for Front Desk Lead/Supervisor role.
• Strong hospitality skills and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests professionally at check-in/out and address needs.
• Respond to inquiries, requests, and complaints with timely resolutions.
• Provide information on hotel amenities and local attractions.
• Manage reservations, room assignments, upgrades, and guest requests.
• Process charges, refunds, and adjustments accurately.
• Maintain accurate invoices, folios, and billing instructions.
• Supervise daily front desk operations and coaching of staff.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of front desk team.
• Create staff schedules and monitor attendance and performance.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping on room status and readiness.
• Escalate maintenance issues to Engineering and log updates.
• Handle cash, card transactions, and guest payments securely.
• Support banquet, group, and special event operations as needed.
