ROOST Detroit, a boutique apartment-style hotel inside Book Tower in downtown Detroit, is hiring a Bellman/Doorman to deliver a luxurious guest arrival experience. Welcome guests, escort to rooms, and maintain a high standard of service and appearance while collaborating with hotel departments.

Responsibilities include luggage handling, door duties, guest assistance across services and amenities, and ensuring a pristine lobby environment during shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in bellman/doorman ambassador roles or luxury hospitality.
• Excellent reading, writing, and verbal English skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and escort them to their rooms, ensuring a personalized arrival experience.
• Maintain courtesy and professional demeanor at all times, reflecting luxury standards.
• Uphold grooming standards and dress code to convey elegance on duty.
• Foster teamwork and effective communication across hotel departments.
• Handle guest interactions, resolve inquiries, and assist with services, events, and amenities.
• Open vehicle and lobby doors, greet guests, and offer assistance as needed.
• Provide room orientation during escort and manage luggage tagging and handling.
• Deliver or arrange luggage to rooms and coordinate departure pick-ups with meticulous records.
• Keep lobby areas immaculate and welcoming throughout the shift.
