Jobot seeks a Commercial Litigation Attorney in Downers Grove, IL, to manage a pipeline of complex civil matters with autonomy and direct client exposure at a boutique firm. You will handle cases from intake through resolution, draft pleadings, take depositions, and argue motions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial litigation, an active Illinois license, and strong writing skills. Compensation is competitive with full benefits and a clear path toward partnership.

Qualifications

• JD and active Illinois law license.
• 5+ years of commercial or complex civil litigation experience.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Meaningful deposition and courtroom experience.
• Ability to manage cases and client relationships independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Westlaw.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and complex civil litigation matters from intake through resolution.
• Develop case strategy and communicate directly with clients throughout the life of each matter.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses.
• Take and defend depositions, including evidence depositions for trial.
• Argue contested motions and temporary restraining orders.
• Handle evidentiary hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys and support staff across the firm.
