Job summary

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to garnish, handle glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach stock shelves.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items.
• Ability to operate a keyboard and POS for pre-checks and closing checks.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis.
• Stocking of beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, garnishes and produce based on daily projections.
• Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner and promotes beverage orders.
• Mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard recipes and portion control.
• Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Inputs orders into a register and creates a check for each guest to balance beverages served.
• Receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies charges and balances money.
• Locks and stores beverage and equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
