Job summary

Claremont Resort & Club seeks an experienced bartender to maintain bar setup, stock beverages, and greet guests with friendly service. You will prepare drinks according to recipes, input orders in POS, and balance cash and checks at the end of shifts.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register and handle payments.
• Sufficient manual dexterity for garnish, glassware, ice, and stock handling.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Ability to use POS procedures to pre-check orders and close checks.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships and communicate clearly.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis.
• Stocks beer, wine, spirits, garnishes, and supplies based on projections.
• Greets guests and promotes drinks following standard recipes.
• Input orders into a register, create checks, and balance transactions.
• Handle cash, deposits, and banking with accuracy.
• Keep beverage, food, and equipment secure when not in use.
• Perform other bar-related duties as assigned.
