Role Overview
Boutique Assistant – Cartier, Soho supports the execution of the client experience strategy in the boutique, creating exceptional hospitality that aligns with Cartier’s values of Open‑mindedness, Curiosity, Generosity, Sharing, Respect, Rigor, and Independence.
Responsibilities
- Build extraordinary client experiences through hospitality excellence and promote a warm, welcoming boutique environment.
- Assist the boutique team front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house with appointment preparation, client entertainment, product presentation, and sales finalization (running product, gathering accessories, gift wrapping, food & beverage service).
- Support sales associates during appointment setup to facilitate impactful discovery and pre‑appointment browsing.
- Manage the flow of boutique traffic, including the daily operation of the appointment booking tool (RDV) and queue.
- Maintain visual standards of wrap rooms and organization of Client Services areas.
- Replenish daily needs for sales and hospitality areas, support order processing, and manage optimal storage organization.
- Provide high‑level personal services such as directions, restaurant reservations, entertainment requests, floral orders, and creation of maps, literature, and other materials.
- Handle phone duties: incoming calls, retrieval of messages, and appointment setting for phone inquiries.
- Assist clients with quick service requests, including complimentary strap changes, watch sizing, steam cleaning, cable changes, engraving, and embossing.
- Participate in daily set‑up and break‑down for boutique opening and closing as needed.
- Collaborate with the Operations Coordinator to manage stock maintenance of non‑sell‑ables.
- Assist with special projects as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in luxury retail, service, or hospitality industry is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills; proficiency with MS Office required, SAP knowledge preferred.
- Additional language skills are an advantage.
Physical Requirements
Must be capable of prolonged standing, walking, bending or kneeling, and lifting or moving up to approximately 45 lbs. Requires high energy, stamina, and the ability to work in fast‑paced environments. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to climb stairs while moving between areas, including multi‑level locations.
- Comfortable working in tight or confined back‑of‑house spaces.
- Safety in handling glassware during hosting and service operations.
- Availability for retail hours, including weekends, and travel for training as needed.
