Job summary

BioLegend in San Diego, part of Revvity, is hiring Bottling Technicians for the BMIA group. You will process product formulations, fill, cap, label, and complete batch records, working closely with LEGENDplex, ELISA, and other departments.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least 6 months of lab/manufacturing experience, and comfort with Excel. The position is on-site with competitive benefits and hourly pay range of $18–$20; base pay details shared during hiring.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
  • At least 6 months in a lab or biotech manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with regulated manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety policies and guidelines.
  • Follow line clearance to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Perform kit assembly and pouching processes.
  • Dispense, cap and label bottles and vials.
  • Verify concentrations and lot numbers on materials.
  • Operate filling lines, capping and labeling equipment.
  • Maintain clean work area and lab equipment.

Job Summary

Bottling Technicians for our BMIA group at BioLegend will be responsible for processing product formulations, filling, capping, labeling, and completing batch records, and putting away Finished Good Inventory (FGI). This is a highly team-oriented group which involves working closely with other core teams within the BMIA Departments (LEGENDplex and ELISA) as well as other departments such as Planning, Receiving, Inventory Control, Custom Solution Team (CST), Packaging, MCI, and Quality Control groups.

Essential Functions

  • Adhere to all BSL2 safety policies, correct procedures, dress code and health/safety guidelines
  • Follow line clearance policies to avoid cross contamination, mix-ups or incorrect items bottled
  • Perform kit assembly processes and pouching processes
  • Perform various bottling related tasks to include dispensing antibody solutions, capping and labeling of vials, tubes or bottles.
  • Verify materials and documents to ensure information such as concentrations, lots number etc. are correct.
  • Ability to perform simple Math calculations.
  • Put away finished good products in their designated temperature conditions.
  • Use computer programs such as Microsoft Excel.
  • Set-up and prepare equipment for ongoing operations.
  • Operate computer‑controlled process support/process equipment (i.e., filling line, lyophilizer, capping, labeling machines, etc.).
  • Correctly follow SOP instructions for completion of job tasks.
  • Clean and maintains work area and all lab equipment and supplies, adhering to 5S guidelines
  • Maintain accurate training record and ensure on time completion of training documents
  • Follow all GDP policies
  • Other projects or responsibilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications – Education And Experience
  • High school diploma/GED or some college.
  • 6 months of experience in a laboratory and/or biotech manufacturing and/or filling/bottling/packaging working environment
Preferred Qualifications – Education And Experience
  • 6 months of experience in a regulated manufacturing industry
  • Experience in pipetting or dispensing liquid products
  • Experience with hazardous and/or biological materials
Work Environment & Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.

The anticipated hourly range for this role is $18.00–$20.00 per hour. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company.
