Job summary

BioLegend, Inc. is seeking a Bottling Technician I for the Form, Fill, and Finish Group. The role processes product formulations, dispenses antibody products, caps, labels, kits, completes batch records, and manages finished goods inventory. Collaboration with Bottling, Planning, Receiving, Inventory Control, CST, Packaging and QC is key.

This is a fast-paced role offering a foot-in-the-door opportunity in biotech. It supports team-based operations and career growth within the company.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or some college.
  • 6 months of experience in a laboratory and/or biotech manufacturing and/or filling/bottling/packaging environment.
  • Experience in pipetting or dispensing liquid products helpful.
  • Aseptic technique in biosafety cabinet beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Assist bottling tasks: dispensing antibody solutions, capping and labeling of vials, tubes or bottles, and kit assembly.
  • Formulate products per SOPs and work instructions.
  • Verify formulation worksheets for concentrations and lot numbers.
  • Put away finished goods according to temperature requirements.
  • Use computer programs such as Microsoft Excel.
  • Set up and prepare equipment for ongoing operations.
  • Operate filling line, lyophilizer, capping and labeling equipment.
  • Follow instructions and maintain health/safety guidelines.
  • Clean and maintain work area and lab equipment.
  • May perform data entry and production documentation tasks.
  • Other projects or responsibilities as required.

Job description

BioLegend is looking for a Bottling Technician I for our Form, Fill, and Finish Group. This role will be responsible for processing product formulations, dispensing antibody products, capping, labeling, kitting, and completing batch records, and putting away Finished Good Inventory (FGI). This is a highly team oriented group which involves working closely with other core teams within the Bottling Department as well as other departments such as Planning, Receiving, Inventory Control, Custom Solution Team (CST), Packaging and Quality Control groups.

This is a 2nd shift schedule: 3PM-11:30PM

Essential Functions

  • Assist in performing various bottling related tasks to include dispensing antibody solutions, capping and labeling of vials, tubes or bottles, and assembly of kits
  • Formulate products per approved Standard Operating Procedures ( SOPs) and work instructions
  • Verify formulation worksheets to ensure that information such as concentrations, lot numbers etc. are correct
  • Put away finished goods products according to their designated temperature conditions
  • Use computer programs such as Microsoft Excel
  • Set-up and prepare equipment for ongoing operations
  • Operate computer-controlled process support/process equipment (i.e., filling line, lyophilizer, capping, labeling machine, etc.)
  • Follow instructions for completion of job tasks
  • Adhere to correct procedures, policies and health/safety guidelines
  • Clean and maintain work area and all lab equipment and supplies
  • May perform data entry and production documentation completion tasks
  • Other projects or responsibilities as may be required.
Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience
  • High school diploma/GED or some college.
  • 6 months of experience in a laboratory and/or biotech manufacturing and/or filling/bottling/packaging working environment
Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience
  • 6 months of experience in a regulated manufacturing industry
  • Experience in pipetting or dispensing liquid products
  • Ability to perform simple math calculations
  • Aseptic Technique in biosafety cabinet
Work Environment & Physical Demands - Lab

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $18.00-$21.50/hour. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
