Job summary

BioLegend is seeking Bottling Technicians for the BMIA group in San Diego. You will handle formulation processing, filling, capping, labeling, and completing batch records, collaborating with related departments to ensure smooth production of finished goods.

The role requires basic lab experience and the ability to follow SOPs and safety policies; strong accuracy and teamwork are essential in this highly collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or some college.
• 6 months of experience in a laboratory and/or biotech manufacturing and/or filling/bottling/packaging working environment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety policies and guidelines (BSL2).
• Follow line clearance policies to avoid cross contamination or incorrect items bottled.
• Perform bottling tasks including dispensing antibody solutions, capping and labeling.
• Verify materials and documents for accurate concentrations and lot numbers.
• Operate line equipment and labeling machinery as configured by SOPs.
• Maintain clean work area and equipment following 5S guidelines.

Job Summary

Bottling Technicians for our BMIA group at BioLegend will be responsible for processing product formulations, filling, capping, labeling, and completing batch records, and putting away Finished Good Inventory (FGI). This is a highly team-oriented group which involves working closely with other core teams within the BMIA Departments (LEGENDplex and ELISA) as well as other departments such as Planning, Receiving, Inventory Control, Custom Solution Team (CST), Packaging, MCI, and Quality Control groups.

Essential Functions

• Adhere to all BSL2 safety policies, correct procedures, dress code and health/safety guidelines
• Follow line clearance policies to avoid cross contamination, mix-ups or incorrect items bottled
• Perform kit assembly processes and pouching processes
• Perform various bottling related tasks to include dispensing antibody solutions, capping and labeling of vials, tubes or bottles.
• Verify materials and documents to ensure information such as concentrations, lots number etc. are correct.
• Ability to perform simple Math calculations.
• Put away finished good products in their designated temperature conditions.
• Use computer programs such as Microsoft Excel.
• Set-up and prepare equipment for ongoing operations.
• Operate computer-controlled process support/process equipment (i.e., filling line, lyophilizer, capping, labeling machines, etc.).
• Correctly follow SOP instructions for completion of job tasks.
• Clean and maintains work area and all lab equipment and supplies, adhering to 5S guidelines
• Maintain accurate training record and ensure on time completion of training documents
• Follow all GDP policies
• Other projects or responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications – Education And Experience

• High school diploma/GED or some college.
• 6 months of experience in a laboratory and/or biotech manufacturing and/or filling/bottling/packaging working environment

Preferred Qualifications – Education And Experience

• 6 months of experience in a regulated manufacturing industry
• Experience in pipetting or dispensing liquid products
• Experience with hazardous and/or biological materials

Work Environment & Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.

The anticipated hourly range for this role is $18.00–$20.00 per hour. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
