Job summary

GALLO is hiring a maintenance technician for our Canandaigua, NY area, supporting winery operations. You will provide hands-on mechanical maintenance and repair across production lines, from wine processing to packaging, ensuring equipment reliability and safe, efficient processes.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of systems, interpreting manuals and drawings to resolve issues quickly.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of mechanical or automotive maintenance experience on equipment
• Associates degree or 2-year technical degree in Mechanical or Automotive Maintenance and Repair plus 1 year of maintenance experience
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment
• Ability to work day, swing, and graveyard shifts and overtime
• Must be able to work at heights and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must provide own basic hand tools
• Willingness to travel up to 5% of time
• Must be 18 years or older

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on mechanical maintenance and repair across winery operations
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production systems from wine processing to packaging
• Interpret manuals, drawings, and system data for effective troubleshooting
• Perform preventative maintenance and ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Maintain accurate records and contribute ideas for process improvements
• Collaborate cross-functionally and respond to planned and urgent maintenance needs
