Job summary

Silgan is hiring for a bottle line operator on the production floor in Alabama. You will inspect, pack and pull plastic, assist scrap removal, and help with loading conveyors, punch operations and carton unitizing as needed. Emphasis on safety, housekeeping, and meeting standard rates on assigned line(s).

Required: High School or GED and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience. Must be dependable with good attendance and able to read bottle specifications to ensure proper inspection.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment on the line.
• Monitor ware for quality defects and inform supervisor.

• Practice housekeeping and remove scrap around the line.
• Make and unitize cartons; initial and date box labels.
