Qualifications

• 5+ years of investment banking or Corporate Development experience at Associate level or above (must be highly rated), inclusive of experience leading substantive portions of M&A deal teams.
• Experience should be from a top-tier investment banking firm or a similar role with a leading internal Corporate Development function
• Bachelor’s degree from a leading college or university; graduate degree is valued, but not a requirement
• Track record of developing Analysts and other team members through coaching and mentoring
• Demonstrated financial modeling expertise; ability to build effective and well-reasoned financial projections and valuation analyses and efficiently communicate results and implications

Responsibilities

• Drive M&A transaction execution and deal sourcing efforts, aligning origination with company strategic goals.
• Construct financial models and valuation analyses: build and interpret projected statements, assess target value, determine levers for pro forma growth.
• Lead deal teams and work streams in transaction execution as deal quarterback, identify issues, craft objectives, and prepare materials for execs and Board.
• Help build the team by coaching Analysts and leading recruiting and training efforts.
• Role model inclusive, customer-centric and team-oriented behaviors.
• Collaborate with Strategy, Corporate Development and Strategic Intelligence teams across MassMutual.
