This position offers full-time entry or mid-level work with strong benefits and potential incentives. Duty locations span many sectors, with recruitment incentives up to $20,000 and possible retention incentives up to $30,000.

Qualifications

• Experience: One year of general work experience showing ability to make sound decisions and learn regulations through training.
• Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree or the completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree.
• Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of general work experience AND college education submitted with your application.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws; inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented individuals and smugglers near borders using surveillance and infrared scopes.
• Interpreting tracks and evidence of illegal entry or contraband; performing patrols and checks.
• Patrolling international borders and coastal waterways using vehicles, horses, vessels, and other assets to accomplish CBP mission.
