Qualifications

• GL-5: One year of general work experience or education substitution.
• GL-7: One year of specialized work experience or a bachelor’s degree with Superior Academic Achievement.
• GL-9/GS-11: One year of specialized experience at or above the next lower grade level.

Responsibilities

• Detect, question, and inspect individuals to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Interpret tracks and evidence of illegal entry and conduct checks and patrols.
• Patrol borders and waterways using government assets to support CBP mission.
