Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration and customs violations and inspect documents.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near the borders using surveillance.
• Interpret tracks, marks, and evidence of illegal entries or contraband.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city, and transport checks.
• Patrol international boundaries and waterways using various government assets to support the USBP mission.
