U.S. Customs and Border Protection seeks Border Patrol Agents to join a large federal law enforcement workforce. This role offers base pay with a robust benefits package and clear career advancement opportunities across multiple duty locations.

BPAs perform border surveillance, document checks, and enforcement actions, with recruitment and retention incentives up to $50,000 combined and a path to GS grades. Candidates may qualify via education or experience.

Qualificações

• One year of general work experience for GL-5 eligibility.
• A bachelor's degree or full four-year course may substitute education for GL-5.
• A combination of experience and education may qualify for GL-5/GL-7.

Responsabilidades

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violations and inspecting documents.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens near borders using surveillance.
• Interpreting tracks and other evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Performing farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways with various assets.
