U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring Border Patrol Agents in the United States, including Texas. This full-time, entry to mid-level role places you within the Federal Law Enforcement Officer family, offering competitive pay, benefits, and nationwide duty locations.

BPAs protect borders, oversee travel and trade, and may qualify for recruitment incentives up to $20,000 plus potential retention incentives over three years.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: U.S. citizen required to apply.
• Residency and age requirements apply.
• Formal Border Patrol Academy training after hire.
• Spanish language proficiency recommended/required.

Responsabilités

• Detect and question people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws; inspect documents and possessions.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance.
• Interpret tracks, marks, and physical evidence of illegal entry.
• Perform farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
• Patrol the border and coastal waterways using diverse assets.
