Duty assignments may include the Southwest Border with relocation as needed, and academy training is provided. Candidates with prior law enforcement or military police experience may qualify for higher-graded opportunities.

Qualifications

• GL-9: One year of specialized experience in law enforcement duties.
• GS-11: One year of specialized experience with authority to enforce laws, investigate crimes.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration and customs violations.
• Patrol borders and perform checks using various assets to protect the USBP mission.
