Qualifications

• GL‑9/GS‑11 requires one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade.
• Proficiency in Spanish is required; training provided at the Academy.

Responsibilities

• Detect immigration and customs violations, inspect documents and possessions.
• Patrol borders using vehicles, horses, vessels, and other assets to enforce laws.
• Apply investigations, collect evidence, and coordinate with law enforcement partners.
• Perform searches, apprehend violators, and ensure public safety in assigned areas.
• Maintain surveillance and use applicable technology to monitor activity.
