Job summary

Qualifications

• Specialized experience for GL‑9/GS‑11 as described in the Qualifications section.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws, and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending aliens and smugglers near the borders using surveillance and various assets.
• Interpreting tracks and physical evidence of illegal entry and contraband.
• Performing patrols and checks across multiple environments and modes of transport.
• Patrolling borders using vehicles, horses, vessels, and other assets to accomplish USBP mission.
