U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks Border Patrol Agents (BPAs) to join a large federal law enforcement workforce. The role offers varied duty locations, strong base pay, comprehensive benefits, and recruitment incentives to attract new agents.

BPAs perform border patrol and investigative duties, including questioning suspects, inspecting documents, and using surveillance tools. Training at the Border Patrol Academy prepares agents for diverse field operations.

Qualificações

• Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply.
• Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years.
• Education: A bachelor’s degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Responsabilidades

• Detect and question people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night-vision equipment.
• Interpret and follow tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband.
• Perform farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using various assets to fulfill the USBP mission.
