Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks Border Patrol Agents to join a large federal law enforcement organization. The BPA role involves protecting the United States by preventing illegal entry while facilitating lawful travel and trade.

Formación

• One year of general work experience demonstrating the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree.
• Combination of general work experience AND successfully completed college education.
• Note: Individuals may qualify at higher levels with relevant specialized experience.
• KSAOs include knowledge of immigration law, use of force policy, and criminal law.

Responsabilidades

• Detect and question people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspect documents.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night operations.
• Interpret tracks and evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks as part of patrols.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using vehicles, horses, vessels, or other assets.
