Customs and Border Protection is hiring Border Patrol Agents for full-time, entry and mid-level positions. The role involves inspecting documents, questioning suspects, patrolling borders, and using a variety of assets to enforce immigration and customs laws.

Salary ranges from GL-5 to GS-12 with incentives. Training at the Border Patrol Academy and benefits are included. Applicants must meet federal requirements and may receive priority location incentives.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and adapt under stress.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
• A combination of experience and education may qualify you for the role.

Responsabilités

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Performing farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using government assets.
