Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and custom laws and inspecting documents.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Interpreting tracks and evidence of illegal entry; performing patrols and checks.
• Patrolling international boundaries and coastal waterways using various assets.
