Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Border Patrol Agent (BPA) roles offer federal pay and comprehensive benefits across the United States. CBP is hiring for full-time entry and mid-level positions within the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) cadre.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating the ability to take charge and make sound decisions in stressful situations.
• Bachelor's degree or completion of a full four-year course of study from an accredited college or university.
• Combination of general work experience and education may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented individuals and smugglers near borders using surveillance and field methods.
• Interpreting tracks and evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Performing various checks and patrols including farm, building, traffic, and city routes.
• Patrolling international boundaries and coastal waterways using diverse assets.
