U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPA) at full-time, entry and mid-level grades. This federal role offers competitive base pay, comprehensive benefits, and potential recruitment incentives.

Qualifications

• Experience requirement: one year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure.
• Education substitution: a bachelor's degree or full four-year course of study leading to a degree.
• Combination of experience and education considered in hiring.

Responsibilities

• Detect individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers using surveillance and field operation methods.
• Interpret tracks and physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform various checks (farm, building, traffic, city patrols, transportation) and patrol borders or coastal waterways.
• Patrol duty locations across multiple sectors to support the CBP mission.
