Customs and Border Protection is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPA) across the United States at multiple grades. The role includes enforcing immigration laws, conducting vehicle and foot patrols, and utilizing various assets to secure the borders.

New hires may qualify for recruitment incentives up to $20,000, with additional retention incentives up to $30,000 over three years. Base pay ranges from $51,632 to $124,717 per year depending on grade and location, with standard federal benefits

Qualifikationen

• One (1) year of general work experience demonstrating leadership, decision-making under stress, and information gathering.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study from an accredited college or university; OR
• A combination of general work experience AND college education submitted with your application.

Aufgaben

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near borders using surveillance and infrared scopes.
• Interpreting tracks, marks, and evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband.
• Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using government assets.
