U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPAs) to join one of the world’s largest law enforcement organizations. These are full-time, entry to mid-level positions where education or related public safety experience may qualify.

Qualifications

• General work experience demonstrating leadership, decision making, and calmness under stress; or a bachelor's degree or combination of experience and education.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
• Combination of experience and education submitted with your application.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of immigration or customs law violations and inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near borders using surveillance and night-ops.
• Interpreting tracks, evidence, and other indications of illegal entry or contraband.
• Performing multiple checks (farm, building, traffic, city, transportation) and patrols.
• Patrolling borders and waterways using available assets to fulfill CBP mission.
