Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or education that demonstrates ability to learn regulations and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
• A combination of general work experience and education may satisfy the requirements.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Interpreting tracks and evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Performing farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using government assets.
