U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPAs) at the GL-5, GL-7, GL-9, or GS-11 levels. The role combines public safety with federal benefits, including a robust retirement plan and leave program.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or equivalent education.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree.
• Combination of experience and education may qualify for higher grades.

Responsibilities

• Detect immigration and customs violations and inspect documents.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Interpret tracks and evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Conduct farm, building, traffic, and transport checks.
• Patrol international boundaries and waterways using various assets.
