Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is seeking Border Patrol Agents for full-time, entry and mid-level career roles with education or public safety experience qualifying you for a position. CBP offers competitive base pay, strong federal benefits, and recruitment/retention incentives.

Duty locations span multiple sectors with potential relocation within the United States. Multiple grade levels (GL-5 to GS-11) apply with annual base salaries ranging from $51,632 to $124,717, plus health/dental

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or equivalent education required for GL-5; education substitution allowed via bachelor's degree.
• Bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited college or university; or a combination of experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Detect immigration and customs violations and inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance.
• Interpret tracks, marks, and physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using a range of assets.
