U.S. Customs and Border Protection is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPA) at multiple grades (GL-5, GL-7, GL-9, GS-11) with base salaries ranging from $51,632 to $124,717 per year.

The role includes comprehensive benefits and potential recruitment incentives up to $20,000, with up to $30,000 in additional incentives over three years. Selected candidates may be assigned to prioritized locations in the United States and receive six months of academy training at the Border Patrol Academy in Artesia,

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or education substitution for entry to GL-5.
• Bachelor's degree or completion of a four-year course of study.
• Combination of experience and education may apply.

Responsabilités

• Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration or customs violations.
• Inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using varied assets.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks.
