Customs and Border Protection is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPA) in multiple grades and locations. You will be part of a large federal law enforcement workforce with strong base pay, comprehensive benefits, and robust retirement options.

Incentives include recruitment bonuses up to $20,000 and possible retention incentives. Training at the Border Patrol Academy is provided, with opportunities across many duty locations nationwide.

Formación

• One year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge, make sound decisions and maintain composure in stressful situations; OR
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree; OR
• Combination of general work experience AND college education. This will be evaluated from resume transcripts.

Responsabilidades

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance from covert positions, including infrared scopes
• Interpreting tracks, marks, and other evidence of illegal entry or contraband
• Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using various assets to accomplish the CBP mission
