Job summary

LMI Consulting, LLC is seeking a Project Lead/Deployment Manager for the CBP IST program in the DC area. You will deploy and manage the IST program, coordinate a deployment team of SMEs, and serve as the primary liaison to CBP, DHS, and related agencies.

The role requires a strong background in managing complex federal technology deployments, leadership experience, and travel up to 30%. The position is remote with travel.

Qualifications

• Active CBP background investigation required.
• 10+ years of experience with Master's or 12+ years with Bachelor’s; senior leadership preferred.
• Experience deploying technology systems and construction management.
• 3–5 years in a team-lead role; 1–2 years in leadership/supervisory capacity.
• Knowledge of MD-102; NEPA and federal real estate clearance process.

Responsibilities

• Serve as deployment manager for IST Program and lead deployment team (~7 SMEs).
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and contractor performance.
• Elevate project issues for resolution through PMO processes.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks and opportunities.
• Present project directions to CBP, DHS, and other agencies.
