Job summary

Shop Around the Corner is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee daily store operations as Manager On-Duty, collaborating with the management team to maximize sales and ensure top-notch customer service.

The role may involve responsibility for one of the categories: books, buyback, or media, and requires leading category teams, training associates, and maintaining merchandising and operational standards.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
• Previous supervisor experience.
• Background screenings completed.

Responsibilities

• Lead category team to maximize profits and customer service per company policies.
• Operate store as Manager On-Duty with management team.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve complaints.
• Maintain category merchandising, cleanliness, and efficiency.
• Train and develop associates and leads; cross-train for growth.
• Communicate with staff via daily briefings and regular meetings.
• Consult with General Manager on associate performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
