Job summary

The Furqaan Bookstore, a division of the Al-Furqaan Foundation, seeks a full-time Bookstore Associate to work on-site in Bolingbrook, IL. You will deliver friendly customer service, help customers find books, and manage sales at the POS with accuracy.

Responsibilities include stocking shelves, organizing displays, handling payments, and coordinating shipments. Flexible hours include evenings, weekends, and holidays; basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Passion for books and literature with knowledge of popular authors, genres and titles.
• Legal authorization to work in the USA.
• Arabic or Urdu language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist in finding books based on interests.
• Provide recommendations and guidance on availability and pricing.
• Process purchases accurately at the POS and handle payments.
• Receive, shelve stock and maintain attractive displays.
• Track shipments, coordinate with logistics partners for shipments and maintain records.
• Open/close procedures and keep the store clean and safe.
