Job summary

Books A Million in Beaufort, SC is seeking a friendly Bookseller who can provide exceptional customer service and expert knowledge of books and related merchandise. You will engage with customers, help them locate titles, and process sales at the register with accuracy and courtesy.

Responsibilities include promoting store programs, stocking shelves, maintaining clean merchandising, and supporting inventory and receiving.

Qualifications

Successful completion of required background screenings
16 years of age or older

Responsibilities

Provides customers with the highest level of customer service by greeting each customer, communicating and assisting customers with questions and orders, and efficient cashiering.
Sales of all products and promotion of point of sale initiatives including Membership programs, Educator programs, and other company-sponsored programs.
Balances cash drawer following each register shift within allowable variances as identified in the Loss Prevention Policy.
Delivers and places product on the sales floor in accordance with merchandising guidelines and timelines.
Recovers the sales floor during each shift, including stocking items, shelving books and product, straightening bookshelves and tables, and store housekeeping tasks.
Protects company assets by adhering to all loss prevention standards and acting with integrity in all transactions.
Other duties as assigned including assisting in other departments, receiving shipments, small fixture assembly and maintenance, assisting with inventory, and restroom cleanliness.
