Job summary

Books-A-Million is seeking a friendly Bookseller to greet customers, help them find titles, and process transactions on the sales floor or at the register. This hourly role is based in our Myrtle Beach location, where knowledge of books and a passion for reading drive everyday interactions.

You'll work with teammates in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment combining sales, merchandising, and store upkeep, while delivering engaging recommendations and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ years old.
• Must pass required background screenings.
• Preferred: love of books and reading.
• Preferred: strong communication and customer connection.
• Preferred: ownership mindset and organizational skills.
• Preferred: retail or customer service experience.
• Preferred: comfortable with technology and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, help them find books, and process checkout accurately.
• Drive sales by recommending products and highlighting benefits.
• Create engaging displays and maintain inviting, tidy aisles.
• Support across departments, assist with inventory and housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
