Job summary

Books A Million in Ohio seeks a friendly Bookseller to deliver outstanding customer service, assist with questions and orders, and operate the cash register efficiently. You will help customers find books and merchandise, promote store programs, and maintain neat shelves and floors throughout shifts.

Ideal candidates are 16+ with strong communication, multitasking ability, prior retail experience, and basic computer/cashier skills. Training provided; opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task across duties and customers.
• Previous retail sales experience is preferred.
• Competence with computer and cash register systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide the highest level of customer service.
• Answer questions, assist with orders, and operate cashiering.
• Promote store programs and point of sale initiatives.
• Balance cash drawer within policy guidelines.
• Stock, merchandise, and maintain clean sales floor areas.
• Assist in other departments and with inventory as needed.
