Job summary

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a temp-to-hire role in Columbus, OH. This position handles daily accounting tasks, AP/AR, payroll for about 40 employees, and supports month-end close and audit preparation.

Onsite in a manufacturing-focused environment, you will support ERP initiatives and partner with leadership on key projects. The role offers a 4-day work week with 10-hour days and a tangible opportunity to make an immediate impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related role.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations.
• Payroll processing experience ideal but can be taught.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas and formatting) and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and transition between responsibilities throughout the day.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional communication skills with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle accounts payable and support accounts receivable activities.
• Perform account reconciliations for bank accounts, general ledger accounts, credit cards, customer balances, and vendor statements.
• Enter and process biweekly payroll for approximately 40 employees.
• Assist with month-end close activities, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, filing systems, and supporting documentation.
