Home Appliance in Northeast Ohio is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support daily financial operations. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate accounting across functions.

The ideal candidate will have strong auditing and reconciliation skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and experience in a fast-paced small business setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong auditing, reconciliation, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices and payment runs.
• Manage accounts receivable, customer billing, and collections activities.
• Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Conduct account audits and identify discrepancies.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare recurring financial reports and analyze financial data.
• Assist with payroll processing and payroll reconciliations.
• Prepare commission reports.
• Process and reconcile manufacturer rebates and claim backs.
• Prepare and file sales tax reports and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with process improvements and other accounting projects as needed.
