Job summary

Kelley Trucking Inc seeks a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / HR Coordinator to support the controller with daily reconciliations and assist HR operations. You will manage cash, payroll backup, and compliance while handling sensitive information with discretion.

This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience with QuickBooks and Excel is highly valued, and the position offers competitive hourly pay based on experience in

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping, payroll, accounting, human resources, or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist company controller with day to day cash management.
• Reconcile insurance billing and other general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly use and head tax reports.
• Prepare weekly Federal and State income tax deposits.
• Backup for payroll and materials management billings.
• Assist in various other bookkeeping tasks.
• Maintain employee personnel files and confidential records.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of employees.
• Process new hire paperwork and benefits enrollment.
• Maintain employee records.
• Assist with recruiting and interviewing coordination.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws.
• Support employee training and performance documentation.
