Ascendo Resources is hiring a bookkeeper in New York for a standalone bookkeeping role, supported by a Senior Accountant and Controller at the parent management company.

The position requires handling full-cycle AP/AR, job costing, and two-step billing, with strong Excel skills to build pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. You will collaborate with sales, operations, vendors and customers to keep processes moving.

Qualifications

• Solid transactional bookkeeping experience (AP, AR, billing, collections).
• Strong grasp of debits and credits with careful coding and period awareness.
• Personable, confident communicator who follows through and learns quickly.

Responsibilities

• Handle full-cycle AP and AR, including deposits and collections.
• Manage job costing and coding, purchase and sales orders, change orders and two-step billing.
• Reconcile timecards across two systems.
• Check COIs and track materials.
• Build and maintain Excel reports using pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Work directly with sales, operations, vendors and customers to keep things moving.
