Private Company, LLP in Providence, RI is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting for a growing roster of small business clients. The role covers reconciliations, payroll entries, AP/AR, and preparing accurate financial statements to support year-end tax planning.

You'll maintain ledgers in QuickBooks Online/Desktop, prepare reports, ensure GAAP compliance, and collaborate with clients to obtain missing documents.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of hands-on full-charge bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop; ProAdvisor certification a plus.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent).

Responsabilités

• Maintain general ledger & month-end close including reconciliations for client accounts.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements for client review.
• Handle payroll entries and sales tax compliance across multiple clients.
• Prepare year-end tax handoff materials and assist tax team as needed.
• Serve as primary contact for client accounting questions and documentation requests.
• Suggest workflow improvements and integrations (e.g., Dext, Bill.com, Gusto).
