Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing seeks a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant in the Portland area to join the team. This role blends accounting, bookkeeping, administrative support, and project coordination responsibilities in an onsite setting.

The position supports operations with accurate financial records, payroll-related accounting, and cross-functional project work while collaborating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks and proficiency in Excel, Office and Google Workspace.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end processes, including financial statements.
• Record payroll journal entries, review payroll activity, and assist with payroll accounting.
• Perform account and credit card reconciliations and GL accounting activities.
• Monitor cash balances, process ACH and wire payments, and facilitate bank transfers.
• Assist with fixed asset tracking, year-end close, audits, tax documentation, and 1099 reporting.
• Compile financial data and prepare accounting reports for leadership.
