Job summary

LHH US in Salem, Oregon is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage bookkeeping for multiple client accounts on-site Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This role emphasizes accurate transaction coding, reconciliations, payroll processing, and timely financial reporting.

You will work with QuickBooks, multi-entity clients, and collaborate with tax professionals to meet deadlines. The position offers an on-site work environment with parking and a stable team culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience.
• Experience supporting multiple clients, entities, or industries.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks preferred.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accounts payable, and payroll processing.

Responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping services for multiple client clients, including account reconciliations, transaction coding, and financial record maintenance.
• Process payroll for multiple client accounts and ensure timely payroll tax reporting and compliance.
• Handle accounts payable processing and vendor payments.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Support bookkeeping cleanup projects and bring client records to a tax-ready status.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Maintain accounting records for multi-entity organizations and businesses with multiple operating locations.
• Utilize QuickBooks to manage and reconcile financial activity.
• Track fixed assets, construction projects, and capital expenditures when applicable.
• Collaborate with internal accounting and tax professionals to meet deadlines and support client needs.
• Respond to client inquiries related to bookkeeping, payroll, and financial records.
• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all financial information.
