Job summary

NOW CFO is partnering with a growing privately held client to recruit a Full Charge Bookkeeper in Seattle. This direct-hire role involves owning the full-cycle accounting process and collaborating with leadership to improve processes as the company expands into new service lines.

You will wear multiple hats, own the accounting function, and help build scalable, efficient systems while partnering with operations to enhance reporting and decision-making.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full charge bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite.
• Experience with inventory accounting and cycle count management.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work onsite in the Seattle area.
• Self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle accounting process, including AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end close.
• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial statements and management reporting.
• Manage inventory accounting, including inventory costing, cycle counts, reconciliations, and process improvements.
• Partner with operations and warehouse teams to improve inventory accuracy and reporting.
• Support project accounting, including project costing, work-in-progress (WIP), budgets vs. actuals, and percentage-of-completion (POC) revenue recognition.
• Help develop scalable accounting processes as new business lines are launched.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using NetSuite workflows, saved searches, and other system capabilities.
• Serve as the internal NetSuite resource for reporting, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
• Assist with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial planning.
• Act as a business partner to leadership by providing meaningful financial insights and recommendations.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation (or working toward it).
